Liam: 3 Months

Our little man is now three months old.  In the last month he has developed such a sparkling personality, his laugh is infectious and his smile is so adorable.  I am back to work part-time, so he has been able to spend some quality time with his Daddy. As of three months he....

  • Weighs around 16 pounds
  • Is around 25 inches long
  • Still wears size two diapers
  • Wears 3-6 and 6 month clothing
  • Is rolling to his side mostly when he sleeps
  • Still loves everything
  • Will smile at everyone who he thinks is entertaining and has really started to giggle, especially when getting his thighs or chest tickled (really loves when Emily tickles his chubby little thighs)
  • Has now started to fully sleep through the night, going to bed usually by 9:00 and waking up around 7:00
  • Can sit in the BUMBO without wobbling for a couple minutes
  • Can hold a rattle
  • Is sucking on his hands and drooling a lot
  • Left the state of Kansas to visit Oklahoma
  • Babbles all the time.
  • Loves his big blue stuffed animal
  • Has developed a case of a blocked tear duct on his right eye, but started eye drops and it is getting better
  • Started daycare, only one day per week
  • Finally likes the Baby Bjorn since he can face out instead of being smothered by my chest
  • Another baby friend was born. Lillian Meyer, born July 22. Congrats to Lance and Stacey on their new arrival!

Lillian Meyer

Today Lance and Stacey welcomed the arrival of their baby girl, Lillian Meyer.  She was born at 3:45am, was 6lbs 7ozs and 20" long.  Liam cannot wait to meet another one of his girlfriends, he better prepare himself for growing up around a lot of women!

Daycare time

Yesterday was Liam's first day of daycare.  It is what I am considering a trial period since we are only going on Tuesdays for the next four weeks and then we will be still going part-time for about 25 hours a week.  Laura said he was a little fussy and would cry here and there, but for the most part he did well, he was talkative, smiled, and laughed so he must have lightened up after the initial shock of waking up to strangers.  But, once he got home he crashed, and by crashed I mean he passed out until 10:00pm.  I was worried it was going to be an awful night, but he fell back asleep at 11:00 and then slept all night until I woke him up at 7:00. I managed not to have a meltdown, so I would say the day was a success and he woke up just has happy as ever this morning.

The Future Snowboarders

During our annual trip to Breckenridge last January, when I was pregnant and Kinley was a mere 2 months old, I bought our soon to be best friends matching onesies.   This weekend, by some miracle, both Liam and Kinley were able to wear their 6 month Breckenridge onesies.  So, what better to do then get a picture of them together.  The photo shoot started out a little rocky, but eventually we were able to get a picture of them not crying, unfortunately we did not get one with their dazzling smiles...maybe next time.
I love this quizzical look

Fun in the Sun

This past weekend was action packed!  Bryan, Jackie, Ashlyn, and Tatum came to visit from Minnesota...so far they have traveled the farthest to meet little Liam. They arrived late Friday night so all we really did was eat, chat, and then put all the kids to bed.  Saturday, Liam, Emily, Kinley and I went to Stacey's baby shower and then we all went swimming. This was Liam's first trip to the pool, mainly because I was afraid he was too young to be in the chlorinated water. But, I was persuaded by everyone to give it a try.  Which, I am glad I did because he loved it, he just sat back and relaxed.  And, it wore him out so much so that he slept both nights until 5:30am without waking up to eat at his normal 3am time and when he did wake up he ate and went right back to sleep!  Sunday Emily, Jackie and I went to Magic Mike while the men watched soccer with the little ones and then we all went swimming again! Liam was fantastic the whole weekend and was so happy to be surrounded by so many pretty little ladies!  After all, he is a Ladies Man!
